James William Nicholson is a young up and coming professional artist based in the North East of England.
He trained at Newcastle College and then Northumbria University graduating in 2004.
Since that time he has kept up his art practice in private only recently taking the decision to make a living out of his art (with guidance from a business advisor). Currently James sells his limited edition hand pressed collagraphs at Tynemouth Market in North Tyneside and is the process of setting up an ebay shop (although enquiries about commisions, prices can be made here just leave a comment).
Another important part of Jame’s creativity is his music. Having worked alongside a number of bands he is now hoping to take more of a leading role to push himself further in the direction of original compositions rather than covers.
It is James aim to undertake further study (possibly at masters level) either in music, print making or digital fine art in the accademic year 2009/10 or 2010/11.
This blog serves as an online notebook replacng a traditional sketchbook or diary and a point of contact with potential collaborators, critics and fine art collectors.
